I remember this show very well! Lollapalooza 1992 couldn't have been more eventful and rainey in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. The Blossom Music Center is a partially enclosed ampitheater, and we were lucky enough to be under the enclosure! Although the majority of the concert patrons that day did not allow that to dampen their spirts. They created (which was later referred to in the local music rag)as mud slides on either side of the embankment leading up to the pavillion. It looked fun, but I was so looking forward to seeing PJ. I remember them opening with the chords to "Summertime Rolls" and singing the first verse leading into "Why Go". From that moment on the energy was outrageous from the stage to the lawn, it was amazing! I remember Ed jumping off the tower of speakers stage right, which seemed to be stacked at least thirty feet in the air. Didn't think he would get up after that, but he crowd surfed back to the stage. I remember Chris Cornell standing stage right and watching PJ perform with admiration. Funny story on behalf of Ed, explaining how their bus had broken down and being forced to share Soundgarden's tour bus. He suggested that the band insisted they give them all blow jobs since they hitched a ride. Without a doubt PJ's set was the most energetic and exciting of the entire afternoon. Even "Ministry" and "TRHCP" couldn't compete! Fond memories and again a wonderful show!
Thanks Guys!!
