So many great memories of this concert... on a high for weeks before in anticipation of seeing without a doubt the best band that has ever rocked!! And i thought that feeling would last forever afterwards... Tragically though i lost my brother in a motorbike accident 3 days after the concert.. When i got around to it i downloaded the bootleg to this concert and it may sound weird.. But along with Backspacer and Into the Wild Soundtrack it got me through one of the darkest times of my life... Thankyou to you Eddie!! Seeing you recently in Brisbane solo was a dream come true... I must admit a few songs you played brought back a few memories that had me openly weeping... But along with the bad in life i treasure the great.. Which is the music of Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam.. Thanks Guys!!
Can I just say that this Brisbane concert was the best I have ever been to and I have been to all their Brissy shows since 1995. Sydney was also great but it was evident that Ed was feeling better in Brissy. I was lucky enought to share front row with my daughter with whom I was pregnant when I first fell in love with Ed and co. Ed, thank you for giving her your lighter and although she doesn't smoke you made her night and possibly her year. She now loves you guys just as much as I do and is already planning her PJ tattoo for her 18th. Can't wait til next time..
having listened to the bootleg, i've got different feelings about the show. every song was a winner, but the best songs of the night were definitely elderly woman, in hiding, off he goes, not for you, rats, unthought known, just breathe and alive.
I have been a Pearl Jam fan since the beginning of time (my time, anyway) I was told Ten was playing in the car, on the ride home from birth. And it was the only album I knew about, for years. Until I looked them up, found more and loved every little bit. Unfortunately I missed the 03/06 tours due to being too young, and unable to drive. But the 09 show, I went. And I had the best mother f*cking time ever! Pearl Jam, Ed, Stone, Mike, Jeff ad Matt lived up to my expectations, and more. Thanks to you guys, this was such a memorable moment, and has become the best day of my life (excluding birth!) Also, for those who don't know. Liam Finn was unbelievably awesome! If you have a chance at all to see him, do it. He was brilliant! And Relentless7, blew me out of the water. Until that day I had never been a Ben Harper fan, but now, I can't get enough R7/Ben Harper.
Great night, with a great setlist. A few fights here and there, but that was to be expected with such a huge crowd. A special thanks to Stone for winking at me a couple of times, and Ed, for looking in my direction! Killer versions of EVERYTHING!
And there he goes...
Great show. The band was on fire! Eddie sang great and Mike played the guitar behind his back during Even Flow. Good to hear Elderly Woman and Amongst the Waves. I enjoyed those two. Other noticeable songs were In Hiding, In My Tree, Not For You, Daughter, Unthought Known, Blood and Red Mosquito. The whole show was awesome! It was the best concert I've ever been to, and I've been to U2 and Kiss as well. I could see them again right now...
I went to Sydney & Brisbane concerts and both were great although Brisbane wins by a whisker because it was cooler and because Ed's voice was bang in form. What awesome shows and worth travelling all the way from South Africa for!
Well another perfect night. Too perfect but I'm sure it was being filmed. Love a DVD. Great setlist and played the crowd brilliantly. Seen Coldplay a few months before but like I said to someone after PJ they were like a kareoke band compared to Ed & the boys(U2 can stick it up their arse too). Benny Harper was sensational-would have love to have seen more but him and Ed doing Under Pressure was my highlight although I never get sick of Off He Goes, Elderly Woman or Yellow Led. Not For You was absolutely mind blowing but the most amazing thing was the age of the crowd and lack of moshing/surfing when we had a chance. Must be gettin old! I've seen the band 6 times indoors but outdoors gets my vote every time.
The Digital Download and Bootleg CD is now available in the goods section. Got mine this morning...haven't stopped playing it yet. Brings back the good times of a concert I never wanted to end....
I'm still singing PJ to myself 10 days on. U2, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Grinspoon yadda, yadda, yadda all left for dead. Thanks PJ for show casing your passion and true magical genius. Just watching MTV unplugged now, how the PJ organism has evolved, but boy the quality classy as ever!
Ed was right, Mike and the boys carved up that concert like a beast on fresh meat. 18 years unbelievable energy....fully reliving my youth! Thank you for making it down under and for the memories
Loved the show, great set (no better man which was good - heard to much) but still no immortality.
Would have loved to have seen show outdoors at suncorp but to many restriction, still love the intimacy of boondal.
Had the fortune to be in the front row at the Brisbane show and it was best concert I've ever seen. Eddie's vocals after Sydney were spectacular man how good is this guy. The energy was kickin and the crowd sung every word. What a night I'm still revving.
Please please please do up a DVD of that!! SOO AWESOME!! and setlist would be nice too. Thanks to Liam Finn, Ben Harper and Pearl Jam for putting on an awesome afternoon/night!
That was my fourth Brissie PJ concert and it was certainly the best. I managed to secure my spot at the very front and it blew me away! Ben Harper was outstanding too (can't say Liam Finn did a lot for me though, but some of his stuff was good).
They certainly were filming too, there was a camera straight in front of me - so I may get my 15 minutes of fame!
Well done guys, next time I hope to get to more than one show - come back ASAP please!!!
This was IT for me! I was there on 09/02/2003 and 11/11/2006 and was blown away both times. But THIS! By far and away the best set I have ever seen by the greatest touring band on earth! They played everything I hoped for (with the exception of State of Love and Trust) and then they backed it up with the most awesome cover of Baba O'Riley! I think I lost all control at that point:) Thank you Pearl Jam! I can't wait to do it all again and next time I think I'll take in Melbourne and Sydney as well because 2.5 hours of Pearl Jam is clearly just not enough!
Saw the Sydney show and flew straight home and bought tickets for Brissie. Loved the set lists at both shows but i'd have to say that Brissie was the best concert ive ever been to of any band, EVER. Took a friend who was attending her first concert of any band and she was absolutely blown away...like every punter in the stadium. I dont know who she is going to see next but they have a lot to live up to. I got a feeling she is going to be left wanting..Cant wait to see PJ again.
Please PJ don't leave it so long & please make it a winter tour & indoors. Nxt Time you're in Oz.& PJ safe travels..............& Despite the f--kin Heat in Sydney the show was awesome most people were well behaved and loving it....
After buying a ticket on Monday that was so far away I was nearly back at the hotel, a 3 hour flight delay from Sydney and the Longest ever Airport transfer, placed me on a shuttle bus next to a guy who had a spare fixer field ticket. some things are just meant to happen!
Awesome concert!
So much energy and they just keep going and going...
This was my 7th PJ experience but the first concert in any form for my 9 year old son. He is a music fanatic, plays the cello and base guitar, and absolutely loved his night. I especially appreciated the fact that he was congratulated by numerous fans on his ability to sing along and enjoy the great music and atmosphere. PJ, and its fans, never disappoint.
Does anyone know if it WAS being filmed? I know they had signs saying "you may be filmed" but was that at every show? Really hope it is released it was a perfect show
as said by EV red mosquito with Ben Harper on slide does sound better and if it was being filmed for DVD put me down for a copy.
This was the third time I've seen the boys live in Brisbane and the BEST.
Truely a brilliant show.
Surely they were filming that for DVD. The boys were on fire!!! After Sydney's heat & eddie's sickness. There was alot more energy, in them all this show & it transpired in a much more passionate audience.
ED was still crook but his voice was better, & he hammered through the longer set, which pleasingly only included 6 songs the same as Sydney. Just Breathe & the end were spine tingling, Rearview, animal, alive, not for you, got some exuded youthfull energy. Great Gret show after feeling left wanting more, after Sydney
Awesome show, kickass start with Why Go then Animal....played Rats, In My Tree, Blood, did an AC/DC cover, Just Breathe and The End were great! Ed's voice was absolutely fine - a couple of days rest "watching Fox News" (urgh) did him the world of good....

The end - wow unreal!!
So many highlights.
Pure brilliance this show- the ACDC cover was fantastic- Ed doing his best Bon Scott impersonation. Great set list and the band were in great touch
Setlist is up now!
Hell yeah! Greatest band on the planet! Brissy show rocked! Ed, you are the man!!
Would you (P and friends) be so kind to venture over to Japan for a couple of shows, please please please please.......please?
Ummm...what did you play in BNE?
Give it about 4 weeks. The Europe onces from Aug came out the start of Nov.
Anyone know when the aussie ones are coming out??????????????????????
Had the fortune to be in the front row at the Brisbane show and it was best concert I've ever seen. Eddie's vocals after Sydney were spectacular man how good is this guy. The energy was kickin and the crowd sung every word. What a night I'm still revving.
PLEASE COME BACK! My first ever Pearl Jam concert! I need another to fill the void of all the years Ive missed :(
Please please please do up a DVD of that!! SOO AWESOME!! and setlist would be nice too. Thanks to Liam Finn, Ben Harper and Pearl Jam for putting on an awesome afternoon/night!

It was my 4th Pearl Jam experience and only 20m from the front. Once again, Pearl Jam delivered - what an AWESOME night!

That was my 3rd time I have seen them is Brisbane and it was by far the best! Maybe cause it was outside??
