The Star-Spangled Banner was 1st played at a Detroit Area Show back in 2006 right after Yellow Ledbedder. Was incredible! I think they played it to pick up our spirits because the recession hit us 1st and the hardest here in the motor city.
Although it would have been cool to say i was one of the first to hear Mike play the Star Spangled Banner 1st, i've heard enough bootlegs to know that it definatly wasn't the first time played in 2009. And JL263652, thanks for that fun fact. Thats one of those things we big fans like to know :)
2006, eh? Yeah, I was at both Chicago shows in '09 and Mike played this on both nights, but only Monday is listed here. So, not only is Monday, August 24, 2009 not the first time it was ever played, it wasn't even the first time on that tour or during that week or even in that building.
Was'nt it played also in Alpine Valley PJ20 night 2?
