I watched the clear liquid creep down the tube..coming ever closer to initial contact with my vein...I rode that wave...My first round of chemo, June 6, 2006, was christened with Release pouring thru my earbuds....
I love this song, I really do. That being said, I could live without seeing it as the opening song again. This year's Boston show marks the 4th time in 7 PJ shows I've seen Release open it up. Once, Oceans and Wash were the other 3.

This is my favorite song of all time by Pearl Jam. Every time I hear Release or read the lyrics I cry like a baby. The song came out three years after I lost my dad and because I listened to it on repeat it holds a very special and emotional meaning to me as well. Thank you Eddie/Jeff/Stone/Mike.
I would kill to have this open any show (or be included in the set list). It's incredible - hopefully will hear it in New York in 2012!
