The friend who went with me had seen PJ like 4 times prior and afterward he turned to me and said "there was something special about this show"
There was a seating mixup with 10club tickets and the seniority thing went out the window. There was a lot of young blood up front getting wild so that might explain it.
Happy Turkey Day! Kismet that this was the show playing on PJ radio today...this being the show that changed my PJ life. Lucky enough to have been at Toledo 04 for my 2nd ever show (Uncle Neil, Frampton, Robbins, etc) but this marathon show...WOW!!!!!! From opening ("hello" scream was my first ringtone...they are all live PJ now)to Eddie saying "if they listen to the tapes you'll think we're bullshittin', but this was really great tonight." To the "experiment" and "fucking with" us. Again, changed my affection to downright obsession with this incredible band. My husband was the older fan and the 10C member, but I have since surpassed him. Of course, this screen name was all my choice:) Ed, your voice and lyrics are pure magic!!!! Thanks PJ for all the love you show us fans, as every show I've been to since this gem has been special (Detroit '06, Chicago II '09, Columbus '10, Indy'10 and Cleveland '10)! Wish we hadn't both lost jobs twice this decade due to economy, would see them everywhere they play from now on :)God Bless you and yours, may have you have a happy Holiday Season. Now tell us what's in store for 2011 !!:):)
omg the show was kick ass and yes he was wayyy into it! he even said hes like i dont say this very often but you guys are turning into one hell of a crown oh and the who cover phenominal!!! great show cannot wait wait wait! till they come back to GR im sure it will be great as everything is w/ them.. and i love the fact that i was able to get the whole concert a year later on audio for free! just cause i still had my ticket stub cant wait for them to come back and to see the new music live :)
I've seen my share of Pearl Jam concerts dating back to the early 90s. This was the best one I've seen. Eddie was into it, and it was a meeting point for fans from Detroit and Chicago. Oh yeah, I discovered My Morning Jacket, who opened for them, and I've been hooked ever since.

1st encore :-o
This was my very first PJ show and boy was it a doozy. They immediately became my favorite band after this 3 hour show.
Best part? during Yellow Ledbetter when Eddie was singing "I wouldn't mind stayiinnnnnnn"
I bought the bootleg a few years later and I still listen to it all the time.
