The night before, I was on Burbon street and killed it singing ALIVE at a karaoke bar and jumped into the crowd. Locked my keys in the trunk.
I got very drunk outside not realizing that this wasn't Washington state and you could booze inside. I spent to much pit energy during the Ramones set and waiting for PJ to start that I bailed from it after about 5 songs and then went to the very back and had lots of space to dance and play air guitar at this outside venue.
Yeah this was such a great show. I remember sitting in front of the stage prior to the show and then it started to rain hard. No one was going to get up and lose their spot. Right before the Ramones started the skies cleared. Everyone was so worn out after the Ramones played and the security started handing out little cups of water that every one was taking a sip and sharing with your fellow PJ fan. I was dead on my feet so as much as I didn't want to....I had to go get a bottle of water to stay hydrated. I started at the back of the crowd when PJ came out, but was right back up front about 3 songs into the set. One of the best I have been too.
This show was rescheduled from July 4th due to the Ticketmaster issue. PJ made it worth the wait with a great show. Ramones were the opening act. This was my 1st PJ show...glad I got to hear Rats live. The whole set list was great. Eddie even wished everyone a happy 4th of July. The guys were on a radio show afterwards...possible one of their own shows they did back in the day? I couldn't convince the group I was with to listen.
