this is the only gig done by PJ in my country!!! and i had to fly to sydney in 2009 to catch them again!!! NO REGRETS EVER!! and also managed to catch tori amos,.......she's an angel!!!
i can remember vividly for PJ gig in Singapore as i was aslo a roadie!!! how cool was that!!! i managed to talk to the band except mike as he was 'roaming' around!!
the most memorable was PJ was rehearsing and my crew was just soaking in their new songs in their rehearsals, when we we told buy our local manager to get off our butts!! BUT HELL NO!! Eddie spoke over the mike and said that he wanted to see our reaction for their newly written song!!! how awesome!! the best ever!!!
and oh ya!! i managed to get eddie gtr pick in sydney!! hahaha..........common guys.......POP BACK IN SINGAPORE!!!
Who could ask for more...Mudhoney opened for the band and came back for an encore with PJ.
Two classic Eddie Vedder Moment:
1. Stopping the show and threatened to beat up a bouncer for roughing up the crowd who were crowd surfing
2. Bashing the stage to create a hole which he crawled into and the whole band came out through that hole for their encore.
Gig started slightly later as the crowd were removing all the chairs which caused the organisers to panic. Come on...a PJ gig with chairs on the front area???...you gotta be kidding!!
