I remember the fall! And the guys just kept jamming thru it while Ed "recovered." There was a nervous feeling in that moment, like the entire stadium, band included, were holding our breaths collectively. Like some of you have said, the memory has become vague over time...I have the boot from that show and I can picture the moment when he finally makes it back up on stage and the crowd(WE!) all just went NUTS. Relief, excitement, and as a result, got an extended RITFW jam before the "Thousand points of light...!!!" It's interesting, after seeing the part of PJ20 and all the climbing and crazy $h1t he did in the early days, this fall seems like it wasn't that big a deal---beacuse he did get up and continue. I still get chills when I hear the crowd erupt during that song.

Crazy Mary that show was at least 8 minutes, maybe more, with Mike and Boom just playing their balls off and going back and forth. Amazing!

Can't wait for PJ20...'12! How about a U.S. tour? We couldn't all make it to Wisconsin, right?

I concur with the most recent posts. It is cool that people are still talking about this fall so long after. It was during RITFW. I was fortunate enough to have front row that night, right by where Eddie fell. He did brush everybody's help away and got back on stage as soon as he got his bearings back. The thing I remember seeing also (it has been a long time), was that it wasn't supposed to be the last song. Mike was looking at the rest of the band to see if they were going to finish the show (probably YLB). To this day I still can't believe it happened right in front of me. I too only hope one day there will be available video footage, along with the rest of their shows. You don't want to see anybody ever to fall off the stage, but since it happened it is a special MEMORY for everybody at the show. As I get older and the memory slips, some videos would really be nice someday.

I forgot I posted this so long ago and just happened to check the setlist for this show again. It's all coming back to me. It was definitely RITFW. I now remember the "There's a thousand points of light" like it was yesterday. Garrett, my seats were in the same area as yours. Thanks for kick starting my mind on that one. What a great memory of a great show, especially since it turned out he was okay. I was fortunate to hear a few songs during this one I haven't heard in several shows since. It's killing me that that they haven't announced their big show/tour yet for this year. I can't wait to see where I'll end up driving/flying for it.

Spent years trying to find a video of that fall. I had a fantastic vantage point, right stage 2nd level up. We actually watched him hit the ground and it had to of put a hurtin on him! Remember, he had the tambourine out- bangin away and hopping across the speakers(it had to be at least an 8 foot drop espeidel). DeanMates is right, he shunned off help and crawled back up on the stage. I recall the look on everyone's face around us and the guys on stage- disbelief, concern and a hint of amusement. The guys were jamming out for what seemed like an eternity as Ed made his way back to center stage. There he stood- head down and both hands on the mic resting against his forehead and adrenalin pumping through his veins... There was an overwhelming sense of anticipation and mounting excitement as all eyes were focused on him. "THERE'S A THOUSAND POINTS OF LIGHT!" The crowd absolutely EXPLODED! By far the craziest moment in any of the 20+ PJ shows I've been to. Good thing he opened that second bottle of wine! Haha

On another note- for you diehard fans out there, check out the crazy shit Eddie rattles off to some "Cokette" in the crowd right before Glorified G(Hershey, PA 7-12-03). Another great Eddie moment was at the Pittsburgh, Mellon Arena 6-23-06 show- I can't remember between which songs, but it's hilarious "If I smoke this Joint, Pittsburgh will soon be my favorite place on the planet... somebody throw up a lighter!"

Best band ever! Just got the Live on Ten Legs and lovin it! BTW, Pearl Jam Radio on Sirius is the best thing to come around since toilet paper!
If you read this Tim or The Rob, please play more from the show at the War Memorial in Rochester 4-7-94!!!

Mega-Fan, Garrett Wood

I totally forgot about Eddie falling. LOL!!! That was my first show! Unbelievable concert! ALways have been a fan but that show was a religeous experiance. Ive been forever positively changed since then. My 2 cousins and I went and got great seats the day of the show too. Best spontaneous move of my life!

Sure, I was there and remember that one. He seemed like he refused help getting up cause he was a bit embarrassed to have fallen. When they tried to help him he kinda threw them off and tried to get back on stage as fast as possible. Funny moment.

I was there...Actually he fell during "Keep On Rocking In The Free World"...we got an extended jam because security kinda rushed to help...Eddie declined their help and limped up to finish the song.
I remember that Stone has laughing so hard he stopped playing but Boom, Matt, and Mike all played on as if nothin happened...still my fave PJ concert and most memorable.

I was just randomly thinking back to this show. Was anyone else there who remembers Eddie falling off of the stage? I think it was during Crazy Mary. Eddie was standing on a part of the stage that jutted out facing the band. He turned around to face the crowd but there was nowhere left to go and he fell off stage. This happened 7 years ago, but I feel like it was at least an 8 foot drop. This was before they played the extended CM with Mike and Boom dualing. The band played on for about two minutes. I remember thinking he was really hurt and that I was at the last PJ show ever. Thankfully, EV got back up on stage and finished the show. Random memory I thought I'd share.
