This was my first PJ show and it was so full of passion and energy - memories include Eddie jumping into the crowd, and coming back out with lipstick on and his shirt torn to bits... that and they played Oceans in the MIDDLE of the show, which of course never happens anymore...

Anyway, I had been a life-long Who fan... but didn't know that Eddie was too until he came back for the encore with a guitar and spoke about Pete Townshend. He said Pete wrote a song that mentions Cleveland... and I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the chords of "Sheraton Gibson" begin. My seats were halfway around the arena, but it felt like I was the ONLY person in that venue, and the only one besides Ed who knew the song. I stood there singing along at the top of my lungs. A few people stared at me, wondering how I knew this obscure song I guess... but I didn't care. That was it for me - I've been a true blue PJ fanatic ever since. Years later (at the 2000 Cincy show) I gifted Eddie with a bootleg vinyl from the Who called "Tales From The Who" (from a 1973 show, it was one of the few times they played most of Quadrophenia live), as my thanks for his playing Sheraton Gibson (just for me!) all those years before, and all the amazing music PJ had gifted us since.

MUCH LOVE!
