Listened to this show. Amazing, must be one of PJ's best gig. Amazing setlist, starting with Hard To Imagine - wow! WMA is fantastic, Who You Are as well and Release in the 2nd encore. Superb stuff! More gigs like this please!
Unbelievable show, not much to really say that hasn't been said before. It was just the combination of a lot of things that made it so memorable: the weather (perfect, which at Bonnaroo is hard to find), Jack Johnson before (not the biggest fan but great mellow lead in + Eddie joining for a song) and starting with Hard to Imagine. This show will stay with me for a really long time.
What an incredible show this was, pretty much the best show I've ever seen. As for the Kanye story, definitely true. He actually wouldn't go on until everybody else got off, and I'm pretty sure he kicked a few people off. Not to mention the people that were waiting around and could have gone to see other stuff. But he basically made no apologies, the end of his 'great' light show took place when the sun was coming out and he cut his set just for good measure. Why does anybody care about this guy?
Kanye West thought that he was bigger then Pearl Jam and therefore presumed HE should headline the Bonnaroo Festival... Supposedly Kanye wouldn't go on BEFORE Pearl Jam so with that said, PJ put on an extra extra long set forcing Kanye to come on last and play to an almost empty field at 4:30am. True Story?!
Ed's speech during Porch alone make's this worth having. Love Reign O'er me is fucking letter perfect, including the amazing intro on the keys by Boom. Wasn't there, but I could picture vividly what the scene looked like. Incredible.
