I was there as well. I remember Eddie lowering himself down from that roof. Un-freaking-believeable. It was just this surreal rck-n-rll moment you never forget

The energy for this show was fantastic. Eddie climbed on the roof of the theater during "Porch" and then lowered down to the crowd from a crane cable and everybody passed him back to the stage (while trying to tear him apart at the same time). This was also the first time I had heard them do Baba O'reilly, and the crowd was waaaay into it.

I was fortunate enough to be front and center for the sideshow performance with Chris Cornell, and it was a treat. One of the best music experiences of my life. I remember Chris bought a shirt off of a guy in the crowd and put it on on-stage. It said "Eddie Vedder for President." This show will forever remind me of my friend Dave, who I was there with and who has since passed. Thanks for 20 years of great music and memories.

at the end of soundgarden's set, chris cornell said he was going to go check out the jim rose circus. my best friend andrea and i decided to see if he was telling the truth. we went to the top of the hill where we could see the side stage and also the backstage access road leading to it. sure enough soon a golf cart comes up with chris and then another with eddie. the side show was finishing up but we headed down to the stage and got right in front to witness eddie and chris doing hunger strike together. chris did seasons alone and eddie did throw your arms around me. after that andrea and i just kept saying to everyone we saw, 'did you see chris and eddie? we saw chris and eddie'. it still ranks as one of the best concert moments in all the 35 years i can remember going to concerts.

Another great show. Word in the audience was that they did a Temple Of The Dog set on the Jim Rose Circus sideshow. I just missed it. We went to get some food and people were freaking out about what they just seen...
