Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard presents two special evenings of music on March 8th (10:00pm) and 9th (9:00pm) at Seattle’s Can Can in the historic Pike Place Market (94 Pike Street). Shows will feature performances by Gossard alongside such notable Northwest artists as Barb Ireland (the Fags), jazz multi-instrumentalist and composer Hans Teuber (Ani DiFranco, Julian Priester, Jovino Santos-Neto), acclaimed bassist Keith Lowe (David Sylvian, Fiona Apple, Bill Frisell), multi-instrumentalist Steve Moore, aka Stebmo (Sufjan Stevens, Bill Frisell), DJ Bean One as well as other special guests.

Evenings will include new, original songs by Gossard and friends as well as classic covers of songs by Hank Williams, The Rolling Stones, Grace Jones, Johnny Thunders, Prince and more.

Tickets are on sale now for $20 and can be purchased online via the Can Can website (www.thecancan.com) or by calling 206.652.0832.

These concerts come on the heels of Gossard’s recent solo digital song and video releases and four-city tour. The tour and digital music/video releases were in conjunction with Timberland’s DIG IT campaign; a multi-city initiative bringing together eco-minded, activists and artists for daylong re-greening efforts and nightly musical celebrations featuring Gossard and the Hank Khoir (Barbara Ireland and the Roy Kay Trio), Vince Mira and other special guests.

Gossard’s previous solo effort, Bayleaf, was released in 2001.

A founding member of Pearl Jam, Gossard has had a successful music career spanning two decades, during which time he has been a part of numerous collaborations including Brad, Temple of the Dog, Mother Love Bone and the early alternative pioneers Green River.

I wish I was an alien in Seattle waiting this kind of shows.

Enjoy them!

what a treat...thanks stone!

I got my tickets! Stone is great!

Too bad my vacation to Seattle and Olympic Nat'l Park isn't in March!!!

Where in Sevilla, Where in Spain????

Wish I missed this one. As a fan, I was so excited to find out that Stone was going to play this show, but I had a major let down. The Music was great, and I was really impressed with the sound of the band, but the venue, or lack of one, had me a little upset. It was just hard to see, hear, and not get run over with the amount of people in that place.
