pearl jam is playing 2nd weekend yo
Is this ok for Pearl Jam to play at a jazz festival?
it is more than ok man!
guess will have to join the fun!
Hell Yes. The boys can do whatever they want. Love everything you guys do. For all the haters...If you can do somethin better, let's see/hear it, otherwise...shut up !
it s classic pj. new, challanging, open.... love them!!!!
i have been to the jazz festival many times. . . and they have a lot more to offer than just jazz :)
Live in New Orleans. Attend the fest EVERY year. Way more than jazz there. It's a must if you've never been. What a year to go if it's your first!!!
This likely means they will play Beal Street Festival in Memphis the same weekend.
This is the best news I've heard all year. It's about time to come back to the greatest city in the World. I also live in NOLA and it's been quite a while. They will not disappoint.
awesome, i will make the trip all the way to New orleans from Los Angeles
Never been to NO...this is gonna be a great trip..especially if we can add some more dates along the way up and down the East Coast! Woot!
Awesome! Wish I could go! Jazz is about experimentation and playing in the moment, which PJ has always done well. Plus Matt Cameron's drumming style is rooted in jazz training (hence Matt's project Harrybu McCage).
Bought tickets last night. I've never been to NOLA and am sooooo psyched about this. Van the Man and Pearl Jam, plus The Dead Weather. Awesome!!!
For those of you who haven't been to NOLA, shoot me an email when you get in town. baggerofcarpet@yahoo.com. I'll give you some tips on great places to eat, stay, and whatever else you're looking to do. It's worth the time. Great music and party town.
I guess they are playing in the U.S. in 2010!
According to the Times Picayune, local NOLA paper, New Orleans is the only date scheduled for 2010. This was going to be the first date of the 2010 tour but they canceled the remaining dates. Maybe they'll launch again after the European shows.
all i know is NOLA fest are pretty tight as long as your not a complete asshole or taunt the fuzz you can just enjoy life, an do what you please,, so is there gonna be a host hotel? i know metairie LA is super close to NO like under 5 miles to where jazz fest is at i learned staying there could save you a few hundred bucks, anyways i was gonna book a room in jan if your down or here of a host hotel pm me
Metairie is very close to the fest. You can jump on the interstate and be there in 15-20 min with traffic.
need to know which night
OK, just got 2 sets of 2nd weekend tickets - This is the road trip I've been waiting for all my life - Metairie, eh....gotta look into that. 4 months away!!
any talk of other US dates in the spring?
If you have your car with you, you might want to check out the Kenner area. It's just west of Meterie and near the airport. Hotels there are a lot cheaper and nicer. I use to live in NO. Be carefull there are a lot of dive hotels in the downtown and Meterie areas. See ya there.
Anyone heard which day they'll perform yet?
i'm wondering that too. but since they are the headliner they'll probably close sunday night may 2nd. that is my best guess. i'm not going to get the full weekend pass. so hopefully someone tells us soon.
I have two one day passes to the show. I can't make the trip to NOLA. Anyone intested in tickets? I will let them go below face value.
Jan 27th announcement on each day's lineup.

several members on The Porch say Sat May 1st will most likely be the night from 5-7pm - so party time in the Quarter afterwards :-)
