PBS in Columbus Ohio not showing PJ on ACL
I just called the PBS station in Columbus Ohio wanting to know why the Pearl Jam is not listed they said that "It was not their genre of music" and "it was not purchased" and "is not being shown on anything through December"
They said that they have had a few calls.
Here is their number to call and complain.

Here in Arizona, Pearl jam is scheduled to air on PBS November 27th at 11:00 P.M. In regards to the last comment I hope they air it soon for you. PEARL JAM IS THE MOST ENERGETIC, INFLUENTIAL, DIVERSE, SELF CHALLENGING, CHARISMATIC, DEVOTED, CHARITABLE, EVOLUTIONARY, ENVIRONMENTAL, AND LEGENDARY BAND I'VE EVER COME TO KNOW. I BELIEVE MUSIC BRINGS YOUR SOUL TO LIFE. I'M SURE THERE'S GOOD MUSIC OUT THERE BESIDES BUT PEARL JAM HAS BEEN THE LIGHT AT THE END OF MANY TUNNELS. THEIR MUSIC HAS CAPTIVATED ME FOR YEARS. THROUGH ALL OF MY LIFE'S CHALLENGES IT HAS HELPED MY INSPIRATION SOAR TO PLACES EVEN HIGHER THAN EVEN DREAM'S COULD REACH. THROUGH YOUTH, LOVE AND FAMILY PEARL JAM IS THE ONE BAND THAT WE'LL FOLLOW FAITHFULLY THROUGH THE YEARS TO COME. THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE FOR YOUR FANS AND KNOW THROUGH IT ALL YOUR FANS WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU. GOOD LUCK IN 2010. YOUR BIGGEST FANS JOHN, SHAWNA, AND THE BOYS:)
just have to take a moment to second what was said above! over the past 18 years pearl jam has been such an influence on my life and truly am a better person because of their music. i remember who i am when i hear them and now at the stage of my life where i have kids of my own i am passing what i have learned to them. thank you to the band ! ...and i'm going to email the station too !
Boston is a pretty major market. PBS is huge here, we have two different PBS stations. Also, PJ is pretty popular in this area. Why then is WGBH skipping the PJ on ACL opportunity? The played TB 2000 at midnight about 8 years ago, and since then...nothing....we should write some emails to WGBH.org

Same thing in Indiana, haven't heard about replay time or day yet. This makes no sense, hope to hear something soon. Hopefully PBS will let the band have the rights to this. Then the band can release it the right way through the 10 club.
Any Toronto/Buffalo Fans! Buffalo Pbs will be airing Nov 27th at 12am!Here is the info

ACL just aired here in Pittsburgh, PA and it was awesome!! I hope they release it on DVD so everyone who is unable to see it in their area is able to see it. Sorry guys. PBS only has Just Breathe on their website. Maybe they will have more at a later date.
PBS in Columbus, Ohio IS airing Pearl Jam's performance on ACL. I just spoke to a gentleman at WOSU. He said they are on a delay and will be airing the show. Here are the details:
Sunday, January 10th 2010 - 12:00 at midnight
The show will conclude on Monday, January 11th at 1:00am. So set your DVRs!
Score one for Milwaukee's PBS affiliate, who aired ACL performance this past Saturday night (11/21). This classic band just keeps getting better...their performance was fan-f#&$ing-tastic!
Eddie's humble gratitude to our service men and women speaks volumes for PJ's maturity as not only musicians, but as human beings. Class act all the way, and hands-down THE GREATEST American rock band ever, period.
It aired in North Carolina at 12:30 am Sunday November 22. Also, at the end of the broadcast, an announcement was made that the full show would be available on the Austin City Limits site. I've watched other performances on the site and they are awesome. Maybe its posted now. Hope that helps. Bummer it wasnt viewed nationwide, more reason to support public broadcasting!
Agreed, UNH1995. I've been talking the show up to friends here in Rhode Island since it was first announced, stupidly thinking that it would be on immediately, based on WGBH being in Boston and the many years of mutual admiration that the band and the greater Boston area have for each other. Now, 2 weekends have gone by and not only haven't I seen the PJ show, it's impossible to find any listings info at all about ACL and when it airs! As far as I know, WSBE (ch. 36 in RI) is the only one of the 3 - yes 3 - PBS stations that I can get in my area that even broadcasts the show, late night on Saturdays, and the time seems to vary on occasion. What's more, they don't seem to stick to the ACL schedule; they show what they want to show. I don't think channel 2 out of Boston and channel 44 (Boston?) even air it at all anymore. The PBS website wasn't any help either, not even mentioning the episode, no matter what or where I clicked.
All I can say as I scratch my head is....WTF? I don't get it. Can anybody shed some light on when we might get the show here in the Boston/Providence market? Austin City Limits has been around for 35 years, so it's pretty obvious that people enjoy the show and the artists that appear, and I know it used to be more accessible in our area. I can remember watching it pretty regularly years ago and seeing acts like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Neil Young and REM, just to name a few. Now, it's time for Pearl Jam to be on and give people who don't know them (or think they do and don't like it) a taste of their music and talent, and it's being quashed by some suits, in markets like Boston where the fan base is strong, probably for the same, aforementioned reasons. Again.....WTF???
Hey Paysonites-
Phattyjo from Prescott Valley... I think we need to team together to get the guys to come back to AZ!!!! It's been way too long since we have had a live show here!! And I can't afford another trip out of state right now! :/ What do you think?!? :)
I feel the exact same way about PJ that you do. Thanks for being a fan!

Thank god my parents live in Cleveland and are recording this for me. Stupid Columbus, what kind of idiots wouldn't show this?!
The two PBS stations I get are Boston and Seattle, and neither have it scheduled. What's with this two major markets and PJ's hme market what gives.
Seattle fans: Looks like KCTS 9 will be airing the ACL episode on 12/19 at 11pm. What's up with the delays?? BOO. But, at least its coming!
