Sick of people paying child laborers to snatch up all of the posters while you were outside getting the most out of your bratwurst? Tired of paying good money for a cool poster before the show, carrying it around like a Faberge egg, only to have some over-served lout spill their beer all over it during the encore? Well, now you can kick back and relax. The Ten Club is happy to announce a concert poster pre-sale for those who have purchased tickets. Here's the deal:
- Posters available ONLY to those who purchased Ten Club tickets to that particular show except ***.
- TWO posters per ticket order except***.
- Posters will be mailed within 2 weeks of the show.
- Poster pre-sale starts now and ends 5 PM Pacific time on August 7th
- No previews or artist information available
- There will be the normal post-tour poster sale for all Ten Club members.
This pre-sale will feature the posters from the following shows:
Calgary August 8 ***
Toronto August 21
Chicago August 23
Chicago August 24
San Francisco August 28 ***
***Please note- For the Calgary V-Fest and Outside Lands festival, a very limited number of posters will be sold in the pre-sale. All Ten Club members eligible. One poster per member. While supplies last.

I probably won't be able to get a poster, just like I won't be able to get tickets to a Seattle show. No wait, I can always go to stubhub and pick them up for 700-900 dollars a piece.....whatever...like I can afford that...

Nice, but it kind adds insult to injury if you got shut out of the 10c concert tickets. What about those who had to grab ticketmaster tickets? Not to rain on the parade, but it's like a double hit.

For those who missed out on 10C tickets, 10C will now make you miss out on the opportunity of getting posters. And to make it better well allow for people to get 2 posters so now they can have one for themselves and still have one to sell. Enjoy buying them for 3-4 times the value on ebay.

I really Hope that this is done for ALL Upcoming PJ Shows..especially the Oz shows, cause I have only ever gotten a few posters from shows and have been unlucky in some cases cause they have gone loike hotcakes before i have even made it to the stand.

they're not asking you to buy anything, they're giving you the opportunity. As it clearly explained, for those of us who are going to buy it no matter what, it gives 10C a convenient advantage. Be grateful we have 10C and we get the great advantages they give us. Tix to Chicago!!!

First tickets sell out in seconds. (Hail Hail the lucky ones)

Typically, acquiring the show's poster is the ONLY source of stress for me at a Pearl Jam show. Now... I can relax and just prepare for the music. Pretty great if you ask me.
It won't matter what the poster ends up looking like. I've never seen a TERRIBLE one. And worst case scenario? It's just an amazing memento to remember the show.
Plus, I'm sure there will still be posters available AT the gig. This might even give them a better idea of how many to print.

Yeah it sucks if you were not able to get tickets through them but this should alleviate the crush at the merch booths day of show.
Nothing is wrong here, 10c is doing their best to help every fan get the posters they want.

Ive just spent a fortune on tickets, flights and booking a hotel (because this time around there are NO IRISH SHOWS !!!), so the least 10c could do is offer me, as a fully paid up member of the club the chance to buy a freakin' pre sale poster!!! if you are complaining about a shipping fee that includes a heavy duty tube protecting the print, you just don't get it. A tube alone costs 3-5 bucks.
tenclub thank you for taking our input once again as this is the best idea since the lottery(I always had great seats why not share the wealth?), since tenclub ticketing, since pre-releases....

I thinks it's the right way to go about it, giving the 10C members that are GOING TO THE SHOW first crack at the poster. It's just a pre-sale. If you want one, and are not going, you'll still probably be able to get one. Or maybe they'll release another PJ vs. The Ames Bros. PART II.

Great idea. I think we should all take a moment to reflect on not only PJ's gnarly music, but also their amazing customer service. Bootlegs, fighting with Ticketmaster, this...Businesses could take a page out of PJ's book. This type of shit makes me feel like they actually care about me.
Sucks there's no Seattle posters, i would rather have one from the actual show i went to. Oh well, it's a start.

Nice. They finally step up and it's on a tour I got shut out of for 10c tickets.
How about you do something REAL, like print enough posters to meet demand and offer them continuously after the show instead of in random bursts.
Oh and this just means that people that got 10c tickets can get an extra hassle free to sell on flEa-bay after the show or trade for another night.... thanks again for nothing 10c

It might've been a good idea to extend this offer to ALL 10Cers who are going to the show, regardless of how they bought their tix, but how would they ask people to prove that they bought ticketmaster tix? Online receipts and scanned tix can probably be forged. Plus it'd probably result in a lot more of these things ending up on ebay.

I've never seen so many whiners. Pearl Jam can't play in every city in the world. Be fortunate that PJ is still alive creating music to enjoy our entire lives. Big deal, no poster...boo hooo.
I agree.....I will have to travel 5 hours (one way) by car to see them in Perth, Australia....and have friends who travelled 9 hours by car as a road trip to see them last time they were here!

Thanks 10c! I have stopped even trying for posters since 1) ever since I have become a parent it is too difficult to get to the concerts early enough to get them and 2) last time I tried the posters ran out 3 people in front of me. I would have gotten 1 if it weren't for a weasels cutting in line.

This is the best 'special ten club perk' besides tickets ever! I can only tell you from experience of going to the Pearl Jam 06/24/08 show and having to carry around a poster afterward for 12 hours at Penn Station, Newark Airport, Atlanta Airport and then back to Tampa. I made it without a mark, dent, etc. But this will bring me peace of mind. Thanks Ten Club! This rocks! I just need to wait until Philadelphia II comes available.

I'm a little surprised about all the whiny little girls in this forum. Big fucking deal, it's a good idea, that admittedly probably could work a few kinks out, but Jesus H, it's just a poster.
And as far as the $30 for the poster comment, let's remember that this isn't some poster from Spencers or Target. Is it expensive? Maybe, but it's hard to say since we don't know how much it costs to produce and distribute it. Let's just give PJ the benefit of the doubt here, i think they've earned it by now.

London shows PLEASE!!!! last time...I had to buy it through ebay..... a date after the show lots of people selling it at 100USD ...... obviously not fans....they should make the posters available firstly to fans...LONDON POSTERS PLEASE!!!!
ANother tip would be on a 2nd night show do the Ten Club tickets in reverse order allowing the newer members a shot up front. Bet you'd see a lot more energy at some shows..
Ten Club costs next to nothing, you get a record and a cool mag, not to mention all the other cool SHIT this band does. No other band takes care of its fans like this, but people still complain???
Thank you PJ for the poster offering; I am sure the later shows' posters will probably be up as the dates draw nearer. It is a daunting task to get your poster home un-damaged, especially on the plane!

Just a tip for the future... my ticket partners for the Chicago shows live in SC and LA, while I live in SF. If you require both posters to be sent to the ticket buyer's address, why not allow them to buy 2 posters on the same order to save on postage? Or, allow me to send the second poster directly to my ticket partner. I don't think that will lead to any kind of ebay abuse if you did that. As it is, I have to pay for 4 separate postage fees and *then* re-send the seconds to my ticket partners.
Another tip... why do they only have maybe two merch stands at shows? I'll bet they would sell double the merch if the lines weren't so long and daunting. Many times, unless I *really* want the poster, I won't stand in line, and when I do, I end up spending over $100 on non-poster stuff as well.
Maybe sell posters at a separate stand and have more merch stands spread out. You WILL sell more, trust me.

Let me just say that buying tickets this year and now this poster pre-sale has been the smoothest Pearl Jam experience in my 17 years of fandom. Thank you Pearl Jam. Oh, and I'm moving into a new house this month and don't think I have the wall space anymore for the posters. Hope my 2 year old grows up to like Pearl Jam...
