i don't get why we have to buy in pairs for general admission, it's not like there are going to be left with odd seats

Mirkin_Girl: 10c tickets are ALWAYS in pairs.
it's just the way it is.

Why are the tickets so much more expensive?

It's for 2 tickets...

Yay! Yay! Yay!!!

rustneverdies - at current exchange rate that equates to AUD$142 per ticket which isnt much more than general public sales and around the usual price range you would expect for 10c tickets.

Oh cool, sorry I didn't realise it was for two tickets :) now Im happy hahaha

GA :( That sux! This will probably take me from doing 5 x shows, to just doing 1 :(

General Admission... Priority at the gates... Is that all...? How about a special section for true fans? What about the price of the tickets? Thought PJ valued ticketing to their concerts...! Screwing over 10c tickets by making them more expensive whilst still in the same section as all other GA tickets!

What exactly is the extra $20 for? Priority at gates? That's not exactly great value :(

mirkin girl - take a friend

SUUUURELY that's a typo - WHHHHYYY are we paying over $20 more per ticket than the general public for 10c tickets?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!111

It's always like that for international tickets, not sure why, exchange rates and international expenses I guess. I don't think they do it to rip us off...

At least for GA you may say it's not worth it and buy in the public sale. You'd be mad to do that for reserved seating though.

Sydney football stadium is freaking huge, might go GA so I can watch from closer than 1km away ;)

Yeah i think it's pretty rich charging us MORE for the same section... it won't stop me buying them, but 3 sets of tickets sure adds up... come on!

Oh well looks like a sleepless nite in front of the ticketmaster outlet to get a cheaper and better ticket...........W T F 10c

I am happy!! When you buy through the fan clubs it is always US dollars.

Thanks for the update. Wish they could say if it is a special section or that we get in earlier then non members. That would be a nice thing to hear.....

Go 10C!!! Come Pearl Jam!!

Me silly.....Ten Club general admission tickets will have entrance priority.

I hope this is true!!

anyone who has a spare ten club ticket for perth please contact me, cheers

I guess they are more expensive because your guaranteed a ticket?

That'd be right, I've procrastinated for so long joining the Ten Club then when I do only GA is offered :(

What is the difference between the Gold and Silver "normal" tickets and the Ten Club "Priority" tickets. It seems the Gold tickets are cheaper and could be better than the Ten Club tickets?!?

These are general Admission right? So there won't be seats and my other friends who aren't members of 10c will be able to be with me?

No special section sux.

Yeah good question jeremyisme.... what is the dif between 10c tickets and the gold and silver normal tickets???

Could not be happier. looks like I'll be skipping some morning lectures!

Does anyone know if the GA is seated, as it looks that way on the European tour.

If so this would make the 10c pre sale good would it not?

Like most stadium concerts these days, there are two sections... VIP.. front section (early entrants) and the plebs who get there late (I have been one of these). I'd say there will be a front section... I hope it has drainage :)

I don't understand why we are paying $20 more than the non members through ticketek. Plus the fee your bank will charge for the transaction and currency conversion. Can 10Club please explain. I really thought we would of had our own area or something. Now i don't know whether to buy 10c tickets or ticketek tickets??

C'mon everyone - lets just enjoy the opportunity to see the boys play some awesome shows on our fair shores. We all know that just being there to see them in person will be great.

I have to agree it is certainly is a bit confusing with the gold, silver, ten club, GA etc tickets all on offer (then add in the visa preference stuff) and there seems to be way to many options which may sound good but is has proved to be more annoying than anything.

But we can only hope that that the GA area is separated so there is a small designated area up front and centre stage for us 10 Club members to enjoy the show from. Fingers crossed. I am sure over the course of the concerts being played here in Aus and in NZ that there will be a merry band of fans that will travel to most if not all the shows and comfortably fill this area for each show. Lets hop we get some little advantage for being members no matter how long you have been one.

It is disappointing to see so much negativity in these boards. Let be positive people!!!!

I think we are lucky that the 10Club have given us the opportunity to get some tickets in advance of the regular punter. $120AUD for each ticket is not cheap but it is not too bad. Having the boys come back to Australia and NZ is better than them not coming back here at all.

The only thing I hope for, on top of getting in earlier than the regular punter (and in a separate area), is that they do the 10 club poster pre sale as well so we can get lock in a poster after the show that will be flat and in one piece. That would top of a great show.

Anyway, my waffle is over - Good luck everyone – and happy purchasing.
DH

"General Admission tickets purchased through the fan club will allow fan club members early entry into the venue whenever possible. Members will receive wristbands which will authorize early entry. Ten Club reserves the right to make changes to this policy when deemed necessary."

My memory is bad....is this the way they did it at Subiaco in 06??

Duckyhoward - its actually $120 USD per ticket.

Early admission won't mean much at all when you have to get through two other bands before the boys even start.
That is at least 3 hours trying to hold your spot against 20,000 other trying to take it.
No going to the bar, no going to the toilet, no getting something to eat, just stay there and try and hold your spot?

DuckyHoward the 10C tickets are around $145AUS each not $120. The $239 is in US buckaroonies mate.

Throw in your membership over how many years and they are bloody dear tickets not to have a guaranteed spot.

You can get them for $123+ BF through the arch enemy Ticketek.

And you know there will always be someone taller than you standing right in front of you!

will the travel packs be inclusive of tickets as well?

When are they announced?

stop moaning people at least we are getting a ticket who cares were it is I would scale the stands to watch so lets all be happy we getting tickets. PJ are amazing and they would def have a space for us so chill and enjoy this amazing day

Awesome....can't wait i'm spewing we cant get more than 2 tickets...I want to be able to go to adelaide and sydney shows also>>>> oh well...

Rock'n roll PJ fans ...its gonna be a wicked week..I'm putting in my leave form today.

Don't worry...

Mmmm dont know what to do... Im getting too old to stand in GA !! This is what the announcement was for the Perth 2006 show:

"Tickets are for reserved seating. Seat location will be determined by seniority within the fan club. Tickets are distributed on the day of the show only and seat location is not revealed until tickets are collected.

I was 7 rows from the front of stage - so awesome!

if anyone is near the doncaster area in Melbourne come down and check us out we are a Melbourne band called Cognito and we are supporting The Angels....Aug 14th Doncaster shoppingtown hotel. Tickets through www.myspace.com/cognitoband...

Someone asked b4 about the difference between gold & silver. I'd like to know to please

Gold is probably the floor section, silver seated in the stands.
Sometimes the first section of the seats is gold also, depends on who is doing the show.

You have nailed it dude !! I've been to a hand full of there gigs and members have always always had the owen area !!

Cant wait to get stand in 1 spot 4 6 hours!!come on 10c you can do better than this you always have !

It is a tad confusing, particularly this paragraph:

"Ten Club tickets are general admission and sold on a first come, first serve basis. Available only while supplies last. Ten Club general admission tickets will have entrance priority."

I presume this to mean that membership seniority is not taken into account because it's general admission (no seats). And the mention of 'entrance priority' sounds to me that this just enables us to enter the venue before the general public to assume a good spot in the moshpit.

To be honest, if this is how it will work, it's not my ideal and Subi 2006 was much better thought out for us 10c members, BUT, I'm dead set stoked they are coming and at the end of the day do I really do not care if I stand or sit, as long as I am able to get my 10c tickets and be there to hear the boys rock.

I guess we'll all find out tomorrow what the deal is when we buy our tickets! Yee ha.

Looking forward to the Concerts... Tried to call Tickettek to work out what Silver and Gold was compared to GA. Had a really annoying voice prompt, thought I wanted tickets to go see Cartlon play AFL.

If anyone finds out the difference please post...

Look forward to hanging out with some real fans at the front in Adelaide and Melbourne!! Awesome news that Ben Harper is playing too..

Local information in NZ says the show is at Mt. Smart Stadium? Has it been moved?

Whoa - well spotted Adam, that would be news to me as well. I think Western Springs is capable of holding more people, so that may be why...

Called Ticketmaster for the Melbourne Concert... They couldn't tell me where gold and silver tickets are, they don't have a seating plan available yet, but they will closer to the event date. Doesn't really help us for tomorrow morning.

I think I will just get the 10c tickets and hope they do the right thing by us all and get us in the first few rows...

Hope everyone gets what they want!!

Oh, and otherwise I'm pretty stoked if it is all GA and I get to go in first - that rocks! I know a lot of people would love to sit at the front, but that would be such a vibe killer... this way you can be front row!

And believe me, Liam Finn is worth the extra hour of waiting. Check out his album I'll Be Lightning - it is pretty freaking sweet.

still waiting for the garden

how come ten club tickets cost $20 more than the normal ones

Western Springs would be better. I can walk there! I hate Mt Smart, such a miserable area - stinky train trip away. And yes - if it is GA and we get in first that would be really really cool - except loosing our places for the inevitable loo break and beer trips - going to need two bottles :)

This is the first non-seated area concert we have had in Adelaide (and maybe elsewhere?) since 98....it has taken a long time to get that opportunity again, and yeah it has it's gripes but look at the positive's...and yep some of us are getting older now but heck i was covered in bruises from the first gig,i passed out in the pit even, but i'm still standing, and cant wait to experience the hype of it again...

They could easily modify the Subi 06 layout, instead of reserved 10C Seating, make it GA, but seperate it from the public...that'd be ideal

You guys should stop bitching about paying an extra 20 bucks. For garenteed tickets to not only Pearl Jam but Ben Harper too!! I'd pay alot more. Bet your bum on these selling out in minutes when they go on sale through ticketmaster.

I'll be saving my cash, I was thinking of going to a couple of shows until I found out they were playing stadiums only, now it costs more to see less and no 10C section.

I'm sure it'll be a great show, and I'm really looking forward to the album. I hope this isn't the only way we'll be able to see PJ from now on though.

im just glad that the aussie dollar has fought its way back to 0.84c
imagine what the bitching would be like if it was still 0.65c to the american dollar :o

right now im just so stoaked they are playing at all
im super unfit but at least ive got a 3 month window to get my energy levels and bladder control up
:D
cheers 10c. cant wait

I'll possibly be needing a spare Melb ticket if anyone will have one spare.

Well I am sorry if it sounds like bitching, but I don't understand why 10c members pay $25 a year to get the same tickets which are available elsewhere for $20 less. Early entry doesn't mean much when there is no reserved spaces/seating.

DW264744 - it guarentees you a ticket dude

i had to get my bf tickets for acdc... i logged onto the site 15 minutes before the sales opened. i got in the que. i got the worst seats available for the 2nd show
im sure in hindsite my bf would happily pay 25 bux a year for guarenteed seats for their first show

Cant wait going to get my Adelaide and melbourne tickets. Cant wait. at least we get first crack at the front. 10c members will just have to look after eachother. not hard to do. CCCCCCCCCCCCANt wait. bring on NOVEMBER

I'll be buying a pair to each gig if possible but will only need 1 ticket for a few of the shows. Anyone need one let me know.

good point missisles! positive thinking - i like it!

i'd rather give the 10c my $$$$ - even if they are more exe - than ticketmaster or ticketek.

you'll all stop bitching the moment the boys hit the stage. :-)

Dont think anyone will be complaining once they have a ticket to see the best band in the world.

So very excited about this show, not only do we get to see Pearl Jam but throw in Ben Harper and Liam Finn....this is going to go off. Don't care if I have to stand or sit, I would stand on my head the whole time to see this gig!

Out of interest, where are most people getting tickets for? I'm in Adelaide and looking forward to finally seeing a great outdoors show.

Can't wait to see the boys again :) :) :)

i think we should still have first shot at the 10c tix before the rest of the members. it would suck missing out cause the overseas contingent bought all the tickets! will probably have a spare for sydney as i am having troble finding someone who wants to go! WTF

cs134892 - I need a perth tic if you are going

Anyone planning to travel to a few shows and only need one ticket. Get in touch and we can maybe swap show for show instead of outlaying money for 2 tickets then have to look for a buyer for the other ticket.

sika no worries If I'm lucky enough to get a pair I'll let you know. cheers Chris

i am going adelaide and melbourne. getting 10c tickets for both. Saw them last year in New York were amazing. For out door venue they played theby oval back in 98. that was out doors and a great show.

Thats $277 ???

I'll grab your Melb spare if you get one

Hey Smoshlad , Do you need both tix for Melbourne and Adelaide ?

cs134892 you rock!

Agreed Smoshlad – I saw the June 25 show at MSG last year and it was superb. Were you at June 24 or 25? And if the Nov ’09 Adelaide show is half as good as the Thebbie Oval show they did here back in March ‘98 then we are all in for a treat. Cant wait!

Thanks for the corrections people – it is indeed listed as $120USD/ticket not $120AUD. So using current exchange rates it works out to be about $290AUD for a pair (or $145AUD a ticket). We should stop complaining – the exchange rate is better at 84c/$ at the moment than at 65c/$ a few months back.

The $145/ticket price is getting up there, but if that is the price then so be it – At the end of the day I will just be happy to get my 10C tickets and sit or stand to see them. At least 10C membership should guarantee most of us a ticket which is quite simply better than none at all. And look at all the other cool stuff you get for 25 buck membership get you - not bad in the grand scheme of things. Money well spent I say.

Looking forward to getting 10C tickets to the shows in Melbourne and Adelaide and enjoying them with lots of other people who are there to have good time watching our favourite band put on a awesome show.

Thanks 10C and Pearl Jam.

If tickets go on sale 8.00am NSW time does that mean they will be on sale 6.00am NZL time? I'd hate to get the time difference confused and miss out!

Wouldn't NSW time be 10am for NZ?

At this point, I just don't care about it costing extra or whatever. I'm happy to have tickets and if we get let in early then awesome. A separate section would be nice but eh, what can you do?

Where is Western Springs? And is that just a mistake? They're also calling the Chch venue Jade stadium - that's not it's name anymore eh?

and why don't we have 10C emails???? good thing i've been OBSESSIVELY checking the site...

yes need both tickets

doompony: Yeah i think you might be right. If NSW are two hours behind NZ then it will be 10am that the NZ tickets go on sale. My bad!

i went to both shows at madison square last year was amazing. Adelaide has been very privledged to the shows the lads have played here.

hey heather, at least you would have been awake and ready. like a hawk.

You are not paying more. You will find purchasing tix through ticketmaster will be about the same once you add booking/"we like to charge you more coz we can" fee, the price of 2 tix will be about same :) And you are guaranteed a pair in GA....

Stop whinging! They are coming! Cognito... stop flogging your band here. Go to the forums. You can by 2 tickets to each show, so you can go to more than one. PJ are very aware of safety in the GA area, so it will be split up to a front/rear section. It is steep, but who cares... we are all still gunna go. If you are "too old for GA" just stand at the back... you are seeing PEARL JAM (!!!), not Fleetwood Mac!

I DO HOPE 10C HAVE THE POSTER PRE-SALE IN AUSTRALIA TOO, YES!

Just want to clear this up. We are not guaranteed a ticket. we just get priority access to tickets.

Damn im getting stressed about getting these tickets. Will def be tears if i miss out and have to fight it out against the public.

"Ten Club tickets are general admission and sold on a first come, first serve basis. Available only while supplies last."

hey, fuck you yahoo mail. the ONE TIME you choose to class 10C mail as SPAM and it's NOW?

oh well. at least i have the email.. and checked the site.. and hate yahoo mail..

Keeping in mind that none of this is official (i.e. i don't have info from pearl jam or ticketek), but I think its a fairly safe bet in most cases that the GA 10c tix will be the same as the GA gold tix.

If you take a look at the seating maps for the AC/DC gigs next Feb I think most are at the same venues and had similar pricing structures. Safe to assume then that 10c tix will be in the GA sections closest to front of stage.

Those complaining about $145 a ticket i would suggest are only recent members of 10c. 10c tickets work out more expensive all the time. I sincerely doubt anyone is making any additional money on these and the money is tied up in international transaction fees and the costs associated with distributing them. Last time pearl jam toured i paid about $120 from memory and ticketek was selling for $100. This year we are looking at $145 compared with $123 through ticketek. by the time you pay the astronomical booking fee ticktek charges you'll be looking at over $130. <$15 extra for guaranteed ticket and priority access is no qualm with me. And I pay my $25US each year for the xmas single, deep magazine and access to other members only stuff so I'm not about to bitch about the ticket situation.

aren't we all just so happy that the presale has been announced? and this time tomorrow we could all be snuggley in the knowledge that we've got our tix sorted? yes! plus i saw OTTERS today... OTTERS!!!!

i can get gold reserve and general ad through any of the 20 pre sales on at moment heaps cheaper these general ad tickets are way more than normal price why rip us off 10c very disappointed for the first time with you guys

Is someone from 10C able to confirm whether the 10C tickets are the same or better than the Gold tickets from Ticketek?

but the most important thing is - eddie might come out and sing with liam and eliza-jane!!! or the finn bros might be there. or... uh... otters

An extra $20 or so to see the best band in the world, and also in General admission. I would pay over $200 for that, just for the one ticket. What's $20 these days, 2 bourbons in the pub, a few pushes of the button at the pokies. Me being a true avid music fan, money doesn't come into the equation, it's all about the music and memories. You will remember the concert forever, but will you really be thinking about that extra $20 you paid, in years to come?

I got in very early and paid $166.00 with visa preferred. I was just so excited to see PJ and Ben harper i would have paid more if i had to. If you people were REAL FANS you would just be happy to see these guys stop winging.

the price doesn't bother me, but some more info on the seating would be good and as for the venue ( at brisbane I think it sucks )boondall is a way better venue, lets hope we get some more info over night from 10C.

I'm sure the 10c tix MUST be the equivalent of gold tix or they'd give the option of having 10c gold or silver. surely. if they could charge more for gold, they would.

also just adding i have been a member for more than 15 years and to all those saying its cheaper its not than the pre sales look into it just gone and got mine from ticketek members pre sale 126 each done and dusted you are not certain of getting your tickets through 10c as it is like any other pre sale this time and anyone can get to the front of a GA Section I suggest get ya tickets any way ya can and dont hold off just for 10c tickets we are all better off just being there than missing out all together. Also there is no international charges through ticketek or ticket master or who ever else 10c tickets are in US dollars remember so they are more expensive. We are all fans but this time for the first time im disappointed with 10c allocation BRING BACK THE ARENA SHOWS PJ

I just got an email from VISA about the NZ presales. It reads:

'Tickets priced at $99.50 to $119.50 (incl GST and booking fees, transaction fees may apply). Plus a limited number of VIP tickets will be available at both venues for $150.00 each. Supply is limited so you'll need to be quick.'

Any idea what VIP tickets will be? Are they better than 10c tickets?

maybe you get a free coke and warriors tshirt...

yeah wouldn't surprise me. you never know what you are going to get when you buy presales

does anyone know if you have to use your own credit card to get ten club tics or can u use someone elses?

Can anyone please tell me which company has tickets for sale now?
The reason for this is not the cost- but my friend just informed me that she can't stand for longer than a couple of hours because of her back-I forgot about that- or was hoping she would! so I need to get seats- damn it- I just can't miss out

"If you are using someone else's credit card to purchase tickets, please make sure to log into your active Ten Club account and enter the correct billing information for the card in use. Unauthorized purchases will not be honored. IMPORTANT: The tickets will be available at the venue ticket window under the MEMBER'S FIRST AND LAST NAME and NOT the name on the credit card. You cannot transfer a Ten Club ticket purchase to any other name besides the name registered to your account."

@ sika

It says that you need to provide valid photo ID to pick up the ticket. If you are purchasing it through your 10C profile then it should just need you to provide your detials based on the profile. Not credit card. At the same time, I am only hypothesising so I may not be correct.

@ doompony

Oh good, I feel vindicated :D

doompony - jealous!
i love otters. so cute and fury and wet!
i seen a willy wag tale and some puppies! :D

sika - you can use someone elses credit card. not everyone has a credit card. i sure dont. thatd be dangerous!

to all those people saying wah wah its too much its cheaper to buy them through presales. read the fine print. the ONLY company that can guarentee where your seat will be is the visa presale.
your bitching now, but youll be bitching on the day when you see us walking through with the early entry and you are stuck outside waiting to get in still, youll be bitching when the 10c crew protect each other and let no one else on the barrier :)
so choose to pay 20 bux less, but as mentioned before. 20 bux is nothing when you are gonna get awsome tickets and early entry

I'm on leave from work - but I'm going to SET MY ALARM to make sure i don't sleep past 10am...

...

yayyay!

just a reminder for sydney members home bake festival also goes on sale to public the same day august 17 so anyone using ticketek web site or phone is going to have major problems getting through so get onto any pre sale ya can

Is there anyone from North America, mainly Canada that plans on heading down to NZ?

Would love to go but would rather go with a travel buddy.

So are the 10c tickets closer to the front or gold tickets for Christchurch show? Does anyone know, thanks

As far as I can work out for the QSAC show GA is standing in front of the stage, gold will be seated stadium and silver will be higher up. I am really torn between buying 10c and going ticketek

thanks for that, yeah I feel the same. I would much rather stand

Does anyone know if the NZ venues will be age restricted as my son is also keen to come - not 18 yet which is the legal drinking age in NZ. Ticketek couldn't tell me today.

Having read all the comments I had very similar questions and issues - difference in price, seating etc. It all comes down to some pretty bad communication from 10C, so let's hope they read these posts. It seems that we will be competing against other international 10C ers where in recent shows in other countries they prevented members from other countries buying tickets - not particularly fair.

Willi

I reckon visa vip will be the same as 10c.
Im going gold res for AKL and
10c for Christchurch
best of both worlds!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cant see there being age restriction's as long as he with you a friend took her 12 year old son to the Foo Fighters last year at Vector and had no worries

Visa preferred has tickets and my friend got gold seated otherwise ticketek has a presale 11th august but you need a visa card to buy tickets Good Luck!

So are there different classes of visa preferred tickets for different types of card - gold, platimun etc?

there won't be an age restriction... least i very much doubt there will be. it's not like it's in a bar or anything. i was 17 last time. i'll be 29 this time. really pearl jam? it took you this long to come back to nz?

Looking forward to the concerts

im gonna go with ticketek and get myself a seat....i felt so privileged with my front row centre seat over the yrs, esp with my CFS, it was a gift, but theres no way i can handle GA up the front im too physical weak to handle that. im happy for the people who love GA though~~ my seniority number is so low too... ahh shucks**

I like the free coke and a t-shirt comment. Thats probably what I will be getting.... yep crazy but just forked out $250 for a presale Fan Package Gold Reserve" ticket. So stressful knowing which way to go.. just glad Im in the door to see the boys play again to be honest.

I know I said Im too old to stand for the whole concert - and then when I thought about it even though we had seats in 2006 we stood anyway!! But I only had 6 rows of people infort of me..

Someone asked - other presale sites are Showbiz.com and Preferredseating.com prices vary heaps.

I just figured what the hell with the $$cash$$ I have forked out heaps to see Green Day here in December as I booked into the Casino for the weekend...whoooo !!

I am very excited. I aim to go to Christchurch and Auckland. I already have the flights booked!

not real happy bout this... crappy venue, expensive tickets, 10C charging us more for the same as everyone else, GA.... this is not the band I have followed for so many years... rather disillusioned about this whole tour

get over it, its been 11 long years between drinks here in little old nz, and I for one am stoked, am going to chch as well as melbourne!!!!

I'm part of a 5 person group planing on getting 10c tickets. The only problem is that only 2 of the 5 are 10c members, so I'd love somebody's spare 10c ticket to the Christchurch show. Feel free to PM me if you can help,

Nathan

Yeah, thanks timcliff, you make a very blind faith argument. I've always felt bad for NZ not getting a tour in so long. It still doesn't make treating your fans shabbily on this tour any better. Get over it? Seriously man, I love this band, but don't want to throw cash at them blindly for crappy treatment. I will still see them this tour, but the 10C may have lost my vote of confidence. I also am stoked for the new album and have already pre-ordered the album on CD and vinyl. I'm also not a petty person. I hope you enjoy your shows.

i think us melb fans should meet at a pub before hand and after lol will make it a good night either way...
email me with any suggestions misstic79@hotmail.com

so pumped to see PJ!! Yayeee... I'll be 6mths pregnant, i'll still be rocking it in the stands lol :)

I'd pay ten times that to see em again!

I was disappointed to find out loyal fans weren't getting the best tickets. But that disappointment has gone and I'm getting excited to be seeing them at such a awesome venue. I love Pearl Jam, I even named my son Eddie. Come on every one, don't let something so small let you forget that we still get the first tickets to see the most awesome band in the world. And, if the visa emails anything to go by there sounds like there are very limited VIP tickets to both NZ concerts up for grabs in the pre sale. I'm holding out for there being something special reveled on the day. Pearl Jam have always treated their fans well, I can't imagine they would be any different now.

Not really a deal considering the size of the venues, but it still ensures that 10c members will be right up front if they can arrive before gates open and stick it out the whole time. Being in the back of these stadiums generally sucks if you want to concentrate on the music. I'm sure the general admission line will form long before 10c members need to get there in order to get on the rail.

Great lineup though so I'm happy to make a day of it and get there early. I'm sure the overhead is huge (essentially two headline acts to pay) so I'm not surprised everyone involved is trying to maximize dollars.

I knew I kept my membership up for a reason! Early Admission to see Liam Finn and Ben Harper. Awesome. sure beats front row tickets in 03 and 06 for half the price. For those who say hey, at least we get a concert...etc... I sat on a bus for a 3400km round trip in 95 to watch these guys. For me, this is a kick in the teeth. bring back Boondall.

if so many of you have an issue with the tickets....

DONT GET THEM

its not quantum physics people!
if you seriously believe you will get the standing tickets through the public sale then wait, pay less and get them from public sale.

but DO NOT come back on here bitching when you end up with shit seats
or worse none at all.

seriously

it costs alot to bring a band like pearl jam to our fair shores...
it doesnt happen often
enjoy it for what it is

and to the woman whos going to be 6 months pregnant...
you rock! :D

love the whole "if you have an issue, don't get tickets" argument. We are ALL members of the Ten Club, meaning we are VERY big fans of the band. We are allowed to feel a little betrayed considering our past treatment (very good). We do NOT want to miss seeing the band. I have seen PJ many times over the years, in many different countries. I always love seeing them. There is NOTHING wrong with expressing disappointment over FAN CLUB members being treated this way, epsecially those who have been members for many years. It is not so much about the cost - things get more expensive - but, really, can you not see the situation for what it is? Unbelievable. I agree with you, nufc09 - boondal may suck, but it is a 1000 times better than QSAC. The last time I saw U2 there was the worst concert experience I've been to in a long time (and not just cause the band was off).

And, no, it doesn't cost that much to bring a band like PJ to our fair shores. Not like they put on a big extravaganza. They put on a good honest rock show. Yeah, you've gotta pay staff, but you don't have 50' tall lemons.

your argument isnt valid
you dont know that they wont have a section portioned off
they havent released ANY maps of any of the grounds
at the moment the only thing people are bitching about is the price
anything else is an assumption

I first read the email on my phone (which has a tiny screen) and I never realised the prices were in US dollars, I thought I was getting one hell of a bargain...
oh well, I'd pay anything. I've been waiting 8 years.

Dam! - I need a single to the Auckland show cos I'm going with my two best buddies - I couldn't choose between them... so we're a confirmed threesome... Please help!

My argument isn't valid? Wow. Why don't I know that they won't have a section portioned off? Well, did the specific 10C email mention a separate area? "Ten Club tickets are general admission and sold on a first come, first serve basis", it said. You do know what "General" admission is, right? No maps of the grounds? Well, the ground I'm GOING to, I've been to before. And it sucks. And I'm still gonna go. And I'm not bitching ONLY about the price, as I've said. Use that thing on your shoulders.

See you there Brisbane TC members... last show in Aus !! They are going to be ON FIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEE.
I can't wait to see them in the stadium. Set this town alight. They won't be getting any sleep in Mt Gravatt!!!!
Let's the give the boys the BEST DAMN CROWD EVER!!!!!!

you can't fight! it's get-to-buy-tix-to-pearl-jam eve!

I'm with JG142210 ...

This is complete and utter rubbish ... whats the point of being a 10C member if all its get you is the same concert positions as as general public ... and its more @#%@$^^$@ expensive!!!

in 2006 U2 played at Docklands (in Melb) with AUD99 GA tickets ... i'm not gonna get into an argument over which band has better music but WTF ...

ironically i saw the press release state something along the lines of "pearl jam always try to keep their ticket prices low for the sake of their fanbase" ... what about the club paying fanbase!?!?!

furthermore why didn't they employ a similar album release method to that of Radiohead??? or better yet Nine Inch Nails ...

Trent rules ... Eddie $$$$$$ucks

Dunno if anybody reads this far through all this whinging drivel but the 2006 Perth shows 10C section was massive, not even close to sold out and the first 15 rows. What are you all whining about?

i am using the thing on my shoulders
im using it to smile at the fact i get to see pearl jam

im not using it to whine like a lil girl with a skinned knee

this is awsome.
see the awsome for what it is.

240USD for 2 tickets? you're crazy...

8 hours and 15 minutes to go. Cool.

These are the best tickets you'll have available to you, if you're a member.
