shame for the folks who have already booked flights home ;-)
Hey Ed and the boys how about a couple east coast dates were waiting patiently
i'm glad i didn't already book the flight home...hahahahaha
Ring ding, way to play UC two nights.. sorry east coast you got your turn last summer.. gonna be sick.. go hawks
A nice little mini rehearsal tour before coming to the West Coast for the real thing. I like it...
would have been awesome for these shows to be at alpine. i'm sure the guys have their reasons, and i'll take it, surely... but united center is no alpine.
Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now were talking :)
This will make the trip all the more worthwhile!
Thank You for telling us before a 2nd date was added on ticketmaster.
See you all there. These shows are gonna be so fun!!!
Don't you people know that I'm incapable of saying no? You're killing me. Whatever happened to "gonna save you fucker"?
Got my tics. Glad they never miss Chicago. Didn't go to to Lollapalooza a couple years back and missed out on tics to the VIC, so it's been almost eight years. Even at 47 now now- Never too old to Rock & Roll.
these one-day pre-sales are bullshit. how about a little notice? why does it have to be a big secret, with tickets going onsale to the public a day later? some of us have to do a little financial reorganizing to be able to afford these ridiculously high ticket prices, and one day ain't gonna do it. ah, why do i bother? it's not like pearl jam gives a shit. have a good time, those of you who can afford it.
You people complain way too much.
Hello, Uh you guys, you know Pearl Jam you have not let us know yet if your coming to Arizona. I posted this could you uh e-mail us back Thanks.
I suppose we may see another date added on the way to SF. Unless it's right here in KC, I will pass and probably hit some of the shows leading up (or after) to ACL.
And, honestly no complaint, but I've got a feeling that PJ is being very careful about announcing PJ only concerts because they are afraid of low ticket sales because they will not be touring in support of the new album.
Have a blast Chicago!
I hope they play here at home sometime soon...it's been 3 years this summer since a show in the great Northwest! Can't afford to fly to all these other shows...also missed my chance to see EV in Vancouver last year. Singin' the PJ blues...
Please announce the fall dates soon!!!
petemargowskins- "The Pearl Jam love continues to flow ... "
Don't be bitter...be happy. Trust me, you'll feel better.
Like you, we can't afford either...both of us are unemployed with four children in the highest unemployment rate state. :p
Be grateful that there will be bootlegs for you to enjoy!
Here's my hug to you...even if you don't want it. ;)
((petemargowskins))
Edited for wrong person. ;) *blows kisses*
HOOORRAAAYYYYYY!!! For ME!!! lol
Dang I checked a little while ago and nothing, imagine my shock to check just a few hours later.
I'm in!
totally stoked
Yea I wish one of those shows would have been at alpine valley. Outdoor venues are always better in the summer
never got an email for the first show, but got this one! looking forward to seeing the boys once again in Chi town!
I agree that it's too bad they didn't do Alpine, or even Tweeter (is it still called Tweeter?) I wonder if the venue has issues with the fan club requirements. I know from other fan clubs I am in that the rules tend to change, depending on what the venue will/will not do. Perhaps UC was the only place who would give up enough seats for the FC and allow a high volume of will call.
THANK GOD they are not playing the midwest something or other amphitheatre (nee tweeter, nee new world, nee world). That place is terrible (expensive, bitch to get in and out of, acoustics are horrendous and security tends to be heavy handed.
With all due respect to Alpine, it's great they are playing in Chicago proper. Perhaps for the full tour, they'll do a residency at the Auditorium.
going to both shows can't wait have not seen them since there last summerfest show. I was really hoping for Alpine but maybe they still ADD it.
great news!
To all you who are bitching... Be happy you have had a chance to get tickets before ANYONE ELSE... with BETTER SEATS...
I need you guys in Cleveland...Please...xox, ilona rose
Hey guys, rob here from Ireland. I recently heard that Pearl Jam maybe playing a gig in August in the o2 Arena in Dublin,
Can any one let me know if they ahve heard the same?
Thanks dudes.
glad i didnt book my flight or hotel yet, back to back baby! a first for me
It's been 8 years (feels like 80) - I'm so excited.. I'll return cans to afford the tickets - I'm not missing this show!! Happy Birthday to me!!
It cracks me up to hear other fans complain about the venue where they are playing. Hello you get to see them twice. They aren't doing a full tour right now. Take what you can get. As a fan and member of the 10C, I'd have to say they treat members excellent. we get first dibs on seats, typically great ones. Shows may seem expensive, but in 2006 shows cost 120 for a pair of tickets. Venues are charging more. I really don't think the extra money is going in PJ's pockets. They have always fought for low ticket prices. Give them a break. Enjoy the bootlegs, no other band offers them in the formats we get, and hope that 2010 brings a new album and tour. Quit your crying.
Did anyone actually get tickets for this second show? I've seen nothing and it is pissing me off.
What about south america? Are you coming these year?
Its been a long time
YES! It's always a blast when Pearl Jam comes back to Chicago! Thanks guys!!
Holy smamolees now were into a three date tour!
Thank You!
I will be getting to know Chicago!
Toronto ticketmaster today was a farce
but I got 10C seats so I'm ok
Peace
Keep on trucking to Calgary !!
low ticket sales, have you ever been to a pj show, everyone is sold out. give your head a shake
I have been to several PJ concerts that were NOT sold out. And in fact, I believe it was Stone who said that one reason they did not tour the south (before they hit WPB and Tampa) was because of low ticket sales.
Tampa 2008 was not sold out. There were many empty seats in the upper deck.
This is why PJ plays the northeast so often. Ticket sales are a lock.
Even right this minute, one hour before the 10C shuts down tix for UC II, there are fan club tix available.
BC58805: yeah, i was whining, blowing off a little steam, but it wasn't just idle bitching. i could almost get a u2 ticket AND a phish ticket for the price of one pj ticket, and those are the two most in-demand bands on the planet. pj hasn't "fought for low ticket prices" in many years, obviously. it's more the fault of the venues/promoters, yes, but plenty of bands keep prices lower--both more and less popular bands than pj.
IamMine: your sentiments are very much appreciated! i had a moment of bitterness, but this summer will be amazing regardless of pj. there's tons of great music out there for us all...may your employment situation make a swift recovery!
Every other way didn't seem to please anyone. Obviously this way won't please most, but I like it. You don't have everybody and there mother online hitting the refresh button and your computer says "sorry charlie" This way is good, it gives most people a chance to go that may not have in the past. Besides there has been plenty of warning signs and those who complain should have been planning. Pearl Jam does give a shit, they have answered all the suggestions, seen the positive and negative of past sales, and have heard all the cry babies. The only thing left to do is hand deliver them to your house. Everyone needs to chill and be happy about a new album and a tour that I beleive is just beginning. Neimiah always prayed and planned. Read it, you may learn something. You should already be financially organized. Not my business though. Good day.
Midwest is not as bad as you think.
NE is OK it's overated for sure though. The best shows have not been played there.
Another added show in Chicago? That's great. Really! But you know what would be more great? Another show added in Toronto! Doesn't have to be the Molson Ampitheatre. Air Canada Centre has nothing booked Thursday August 20th or Saturday August 22nd of that week(end). The northin' country (Canada) would love to get a chance to see Pearl Jam, aka, back-2-back! What say's you? :)
COME TO OHIO!
I live in Tennessee and I was going to get ticket through the fan club for Chicago however I did not get the notice until the day they were on sale. I guess I should check my e-mail everyday every hour, I would agree that they should give at least a two day notice so that us who have to travel can have time to get everything together. I am not complaining but I do not understand how when I went to get our tickets for Eddie's show in Nashville I did not get any notice from ten club that they would be offered for the fan club members. So, I logged on the morning they went on sale fifteen minutes before and when I tried to purchase them the exact minute they went on sale there was none available at all. I was on the phone at the same time and when someone finally answered she said they were sold out, one minute into the sale! She checked again and found two tickets in middle section for my fiance' and I however we will be sitting four sections apart! What up with that?
I have only been to Chicago a couple times in my life, even though I only live 3 hours away. One of the handful of times was for Lollapalooza 07, another was Eddie solo August 08, and I will not miss this one at another new venue. I come from a town of just a couple hundred people so I cringe at being in such a big city-- I have no idea how to drive there, walk there, etc.-- but with that many Pearl Jam fans at the United Center, I will feel like I'm at a family reunion for two days. Here's to a long one filled with a whole bunch of rarities. Cheers!!!!
Hopefully we'll get some philly or ny shows. I hate to get my tix and for chicago or austin, just to have them announce shows for the fall a month later. I've only have seen them in four other states, including chicago for lolla '07 and I think the n.e. shows are always just as phenomenal as the west coast shows. It is pj, after all! The energy is extremely contagious on the east coast. Well, we at least have Ed in June. Enjoy your shows guys.
Boston is great city at the end of August, beginning of September. Let us make up for those clowns that marred Ed's solo shows.
Yo, Yo, Happy Mothers day train conductor Brian
Happy moms day to all... If your mom knew you were hurt she would come to help you out... Pearl Jam is NOT your mom, but they have always catered to their fans, unlike ANY other band... I never thought, in my life, a band who tries to help their fans get tickets would have so many pussies, sorry mom, as fans... They do have a song for all of you though, maybe you haven't heard it or skipped on your cd cause you just liked better man... I guess a lot of you haven't moved away from the nipple...
Happy Mother's Day to all...hey guys, we need you in Cleveland,Oh...been too long !! And to Eddie, from a Canucks fan to a Blackhawks fan, good luck Monday nite...Your team, unfortunately, is in great position to bring it home at the UC...Watch out for Luongo !! And did i mention coming to Cleveland ??!!!
I'll admit I'm an idiot, for not cheching in every hour of every day. I'm mad at myself.(NOT THE BAND) I live 20 minuts from where the coldest show in Rock'n Role history took place. (Still my favorite show ever.) Missed both pre-sales for Chicago. As usual ticket-monster was a joke on Saturday. Kind of funny actually. I'm as big a fan as any, listening to the re-make of 10 AGAIN & AGAIN (my 4 yr old daughter loves it, wife is sick of it but oh well!!) excited about the new album on the horison, all the hype, all the rumers, Thought I was ok for a while with the Europe thing happining. Then OOPS added dates start popping up. Both times I checked the pre-sale was yesterday SHIT...I can't afford scalper prices. But hay 10C did their job well. Because I checked for the hell of it,,,The stub hubs of the world don't have shit for those Chicago shows. They have parking lot tickets for $200.00 a pice. One pair of floor seats row 29 listed at $1,200per pop. I guess I'll have to sit this one out.
There are still some nosebleeds for the 8/24 left on Ticketmaster.
YESSSS, I've got my fan club tickets, I'll be there!!!
yes another show for the great white north would be great!air canada centre works for me even better than the molson amphitheatre. so how about it ? you guys know you like it here. well here ' s to wishing and hoping.
Howdee,
Does anybody have an extra 10C ticket for sale for either show, 8/23-24 (my birthday) or even both shows? I am a avid fan and current member since 2003,I actually saw my first of 9 shows in 93 in a tin shed in OKC, Ok. I would be flying in from Dallas and could meet you at the Will-Call booth. I would be glad to pay you upfront, anybody??? Thanks.....The Ten Man.
Anyone have any ideas or speculation on how many tickets were available here at the pearljam ten club presale for the Chicago show on 8/24? I got my two tickets, but only have been a ten club member for about 2 weeks now....Any ideas? Where do you think my seats will be? Floor or one of the side seated sections in the 100 level closest to stage? Thanks!!
To Ten Man
I have an extra ticket for the 8/24 show. I can't find anybody who wants to travel from Montreal with me. Since I'm not an old 10C member, I don't know if my seats will be good though.
Are you still interested?
Footfinger,
I am interested and it doesnt matter where the ticket is, as long as it is in the house! I will confirm later next week, ok? How much? Does anybody have a 8/23 ticket?
Thanks,
Mike
Ten Man (or Mike),
The ticket is face value. You can contact me at footfinger@videotron.ca.
Verizon at Noblesville IN would be a nice venue to see PJ at (again). Outdoor shows are so much nicer.
Please, please come to Tennessee!!!! We miss you guys!!
when you do the full tour for the new album will you please give us a month or two notice. ya know just for the ten club members. and dont forget to come to detroit (or grand rapids) because thats always the closest to northern michigan. im already saving for it. or you guys are more than welcome to come to cheboygan and play in my back yard (you can always see the mighty mackinaw bridge while you are here). :)
im missing something. i didnt get tix cause im waiting for the big tour. it seems as though you are all talking about the prices. how much are they? I just need to know so i can save. i bet the chicago tix are high cause they (the venue ppl) know people will pay anything to see eddie at his place of birth. or maybe are president, who is supposed to fix everything, will fix the economy before the album tour and they wont be that high then. HA! i better start saving my popcans too!!!
Hi How about adding Brisbane Australia too the tour!! We play PJ all the time on the radio, Triple M is one cool radio station. Please come down under.
Just moved from the UK to OZ and can not make it back to see the guys in London. Ed knows the surfs good!!
