I think it's good without chapters. For me, SVT is better watched from beginning to end. I'm not really sure if the chapter skips were left out intentionally, but I like DH's 'theory' on this being a 'single video' (god that sounds corny).

David Lynch purposefully left out chapter skips on "Mulholland Dr." because he didn't want people skipping over parts of the movie, so maybe Mark Pellington did it on purpose, who knows..

I agree with you on it the fact that it forces you to watch it gives makes you watch it and you might get more out of it each time or something new its like vinyl in sense the usual thing to do is play the whole thing from start to end makes you listen and not just pick and choose lets you have a taste of what the artist was trying to get across or accomplish on some degree.

I agree with your logic DH but I still think a simple 'track advance feature' would make a big difference to it's over-all accessibility.

I'm sure it's not just DH & LJ out here in cyberspace with an opinion on this. Let's start a casual poll.

So, hey you reading this, what do you think? Are you the kind of person who:

a). Likes accessibility, ease of use etc and therefore chapters, or
b). Likes artistic purity and baloney to those 'convenience' types

Let DH and I know what you think ;)

Agree the chapters would have been nice, but I am thinking they left it as is.

In other words videos don't have chapters and this is: Single Video theory.

This is my favorite DVD, hands down, among the group.

Behinds the making of most likely their best work. Really a toss up b/w No Code and Yield.

If I were only allowed one PJ DVD this would be it.

I would like this dvd better if it had chapters, menus etc. Nice performances though :)
