There is talk of additional shows being added to the 2008 tour schedule and the Ten Club has tickets!

You must be an active Ten Club member as of March 21, 2008 to qualify for the ticket reservation opportunity.

Here’s how it will work … Beginning April 1, 2008 there will be a ticket \”reservation\” at pearljam.com for shows which could possibly be added to the tour schedule. A ticket reservation means you purchase tickets like any other show, however the credit card will not be charged until the show is confirmed.

Things you must know … The credit card will be authorized for the amount of the tickets, so funds must be available. An authorization on the credit card puts a hold on the funds for a pre-determined amount of time - usually 7-10 business days. The credit card will not be charged until the show is confirmed, which is likely to happen AFTER the public on-sale.

Sometimes funds are released before the card is charged, but don’t panic, we have the authority to charge your account within a time frame from the date the order is placed. Therefore, even if funds are released back to your account and the show is confirmed, we can still charge your credit card for the tickets.

Once the show is confirmed, we will charge your card and send you a confirmation for the ticket purchase. If the show is not confirmed, your funds will be released back to your account within a time frame determined by the card-issuing bank.

Whew … long story short, if you are interested in tickets for the possible shows, you will purchase tickets like any other show and your card will be charged when the show is confirmed.

All standard Ten Club policies apply to the additional shows. Ticket reservations are available while supplies last. Two tickets per member/per show. All sales final.

Ticket reservations will close April 1st at 5pm PDT.

RESERVATIONS FOR POSSIBLE SHOWS:

Written by Seattle-area musicians the Bergevin Brothers, and featuring Reverend Pat Wright and her renowned Total Experience Gospel Choir. Joe Bergevin watched Senator Barack Obama tell a story about one person, Edith Childs, who energized others with a \”fired up, ready to go,\” chant at one of his campaign stops. Inspired by Obama’s \”One voice can change the world\” speech, Joe wrote some lyrics and rough chords then called his brother Jon to help him compose and arrange the song. They named it after Edith’s chant. After many phone calls, emails, and sleepless nights, they had assembled the team. Ten days later an epic recording was born with the intention of spreading Obama’s hopeful message. Contributors include lead singer Reverend Pat Wright and her renowned Total Experience Gospel Choir, drummer Matt Cameron from Pearl Jam, lead singer Jake Bergevin, other top studio musicians, sound engineers, video teams, photographers, caterers, local news teams and a renovated theater with recording studio.

Stone Gossard united with Integral Naked for a fascinating interview, offering an insider’s view of the gritty origins of grunge music, and the struggles of maintaining one’s artistic ideals in the vertigo of sudden fame.

\”In this dialogue Stone Gossard leads us through the story of Pearl Jam’s iconic rise, as well as his own experiences in the early grunge scene, long before any of us had ever known what teen spirit actually smelled like. Stone and Ken also discuss the current state of the music industry, some of the key problems it needs to come to terms with, and the role of record labels in the future of music. Stone’s story is one that is truly aligned with the essence of Integral Art, which attempts to restore Beauty to it’s rightful place within the human condition—emphasizing creativity instead of deconstruction, idealism instead of apathy, depth instead of sensationalism, authenticity instead of irony—and always reflecting the fullest expressions of both artist and audience alike. We hope you can join us in this fascinating exploration of artistic idealism and creative reverie….\”

Singer/songwriter Eddie Vedder appears for the first time as a solo artist in a music video for the Critics Choice-, Golden Globe- and Grammy-nominated song \”Guaranteed\” from the Sean Penn-directed motion picture Into the Wild.

The video, directed by critically-acclaimed writer/director Marc Rocco (Murder in the First and Where the Day Takes You) premieres January 7th at 6:00 a.m. EST on VH1 and VH1.com.

Feature film writer/director Marc Rocco conceived, directed and produced the video for \”Guaranteed\” in just a few days - and shot the project entirely on 35 mm film in three hours - as a way for the typically video-shy Vedder to pay tribute to Sean Penn’s film and Chris McCandless’s journey. The video uses a series of floating, illuminated images from Into the Wild to capture Vedder’s intimate and poetic performance, weaving striking silhouettes of Vedder with translit still frames from the film in a powerful and simple way.

\”To me, Eddie is the most compelling musical artist of our generation,\” explains Rocco. \”His songwriting pounds you on a visceral level and his storytelling always stands apart in the same way a great film does - each time you hear his words, they engender a different experience in your heart, soul and mind.\”

\”It has been a privilege and honor to collaborate with Eddie in a medium that he so rarely visits. I hope that I’ve portrayed visually the song ‘Guaranteed’ in a way that leaves the viewer as emotionally moved as I was the first time I heard Eddie’s music for Into the Wild.\”
