seemed like the most convenient place to let you know. thanks

Jeff, glad to see your support of 826. I do drop-in tutoring there each week, and while we ostensibly help students with homework, they thrive more generally on much-needed attention and support. My favorite part of each week is giving my "regulars" high-fives once they finish tough assignments, or playing my students' revision of Scrabble that involves practicing weekly spelling assignments. Students get a chance to be in a creative space, where we value writing and other forms of creative self-expression in workshops and impromptu assignments. Thanks for the support, and I hope other fans and visitors to this site will consider getting involved.

This is why I love Pearl Jam
This band is always willing to help.

So happy to see the page getting going and I'm so impressed with the fact you guys are using your power and ability to communicate to not only give us a completely spiritual ride through your music but to also really get out there and address some real world conditions. I sign tons of petitions every day as well as promote and address sanity and human rights etc. in my work and now I'll have one more way to send the messages out- through one of my favorite band's own websites- uhm... HOW COOL IS THAT??? Thanks for being kick ass artists and inspirational! When I was 16 and sort of lost in terms of what to do with my life I happened to be listening to you guys A LOT and it actually broke me out of the mold of agreement and I went on to to dedicate my life to humanitarian efforts and haven't looked back since- you guys really helped through your lyrics and music and just general disagreement with the status quo!! Keep doing it as what you are doing is working. So awesome and I'll definitely be spreading the word!!
